Chili Cheese Fries

Often times my husband will have friends over at the drop of a hat and they will be visiting away out in the garage. They are always working on one project or another it seems like. I usually feel like I should provide these hard workers with a snack. So here is an easy method you can use to whip up a man pleasing appetizer using stuff you might have on hand.

Frozen seasoned potato wedges, leftover (or canned) chili is dressed up with some cheese and fresh onions.

Easy Chili Cheese Fries

  • A few servings of frozen potato wedges
  • Leftover chili (I used pepperoni pizza chili)
  • Cheese
  • Green onions

Bake frozen potatoes according to package instructions. Remove from oven and top with chili – bake another 8 minutes. Remove, top with cheese and bake until cheese melts. Top with green onions. Serve.

Bake your frozen potatoes first so they get cooked through and crisped up. Top with your leftover chili and bake to warm through. Finally top with cheese and bake just a few more minutes until it melts. Top with green onions if you like.

If you don’t have any leftover chili – feel free to use canned, leftover sloppy joe mixture or even just sautéed veggies. Make it your own!
