Meatball Appetizer

The Christmas holidays are over. But creeping up on us now is the New Year parties. I have a perfect and easy appetizer idea for you to take to your party. Impress your guests with homemade meatballs with a sweet and tangy homemade sauce. These take no time to whip up and can even be made in advance, frozen and then thawed to be taken to your next party at minimal notice. This is the “before” photo but I don’t have an after. They look pretty similar, just a little more condensed. Enjoy!

Meatballs

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2/3 cup oatmeal
  • 1 Tbsp. dried minced onion
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Roll into little balls, about 20-24 total. Place into a 9×13 pan.

Sauce

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (don’t pack it)
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard (regular yellow stuff)

Pour over meatballs. These can be frozen until needed, then that and bake uncovered at 375 for 45 minutes – 1 hour. Enjoy!
