All around dip

Super short post today. We made this dip and took it out to a gathering where we fried fresh onion rings. A tip if you ever fry onion rings – just find a good mixed packet and mix it with a DARK beer – think Turbodog or Shiner Bock Black. Even if you don’t like dark beer, it makes a mean onion ring. If you are looking for an onion ring mix, we really like Don’s Chuck Wagon Onion Ring Seasoning Mix and it is only about $2 at Krause’s and makes a LOT of rings.

I got this recipe from my sister-in-law and slightly modified it. It would go great with potatoes, chicken, on a sandwich or more. Even if you do not like horseradish, you will probably like this dip. Just saying! It reminds me of the dip you get at Texas Roadhouse with their onions.

All Around Dip

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons cream-style horseradish sauce
  • 1 heaping teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 scant teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 heaping teaspoon cayenne pepper

Thoroughly mix.

Enjoy! Believe me you HAVE to try this dip! It takes mere minutes to put together.
