Visiting the grandparents

I have had a very busy few days. I will have a recipe post coming soon. In fact, I made something just to put on this blog. Well, and I figured I’d also like the recipe. As for tonight, life got in the way, a boring dinner was eaten and a friend was visited. Sometimes, it is just much more important to be with a friend who needs an ear to bend and some thoughts to share. THAT is the important thing in life. And I do love my good friends.

Last weekend I went to visit Mr. FeistyEats. My first night there I stayed in his house which is currently a camper in a small RV part. I 100lb dog, a 6lb cat and two humans does not equal a fun night, I tell you that. We agreed to paint my parents house for a Christmas present so all of use kids were there chipping in. I was worried the cat wouldn’t get along well, or feel uncomfortable in my parents house. Let’s see how that turned out:

Looks like she warmed up just fine. I think she hated the neighbor dog, but who doesn’t? That dog is just a little on the stupid side if you know what I mean.

As for Winston…

I had no feat he would not be comfortable there. He loves going to their house and running around. I mean, what isn’t to love at their house with their views?

This is their backyard looking out on the Missouri River. As all of ND knows, the Missouri is flooding which is evident my the trees mostly submerged in the water. Thankfully, my parents place is high enough not to be effected. I don’t think there will be much of a summer on the river this year. It will be very interesting to see how the river is once the water goes down.

See you next time (notice I didn’t promise tomorrow!) with a sweet recipe! Have a great week.
